¨      Matters arising – Land at the rear of the old DIY shop – probable building development, builder should clear area.

¨      August Bank Holiday Fayre – possible date Saturday 26th August, J Finch & M Baber to check availability of entertainers, contact CoC re food stall (hygiene certificate required), Punch & Judy, Duck Race (Brownies?), PA system, donations where applicable, establish costs.

¨      Forum received £1,500 from NCDC to help with running costs for 2006/7.

¨      Heritage regeneration scheme – 12 applications received, work must start by September and be completed by December to receive payment.  Peter Sainsbury from CCC will organise the renewal of ope-ways etc.

¨      Forum Newsletter – B Ireland reported that this is the 100th anniversary of the Camelford Show, lots of interest shown.  Items for the next Forum Newsletter must be with the Forum by the beginning of July for discussion at the 19th July Forum meeting.

¨      Fireworks – M Baber gave report on progress, donations received from businesses right across Cornwall.  J Finch said that B Jordan had been informed that it was too early to arrange road-closure, but J Finch urged that it be dealt with as soon as possible.  J Finch suggested that the Fireworks Committee should contact CoC regarding stalls for burgers, chestnuts etc.

¨      Traffic using Chapel Street – J Comber (CCC) explained that residents would be receiving a letter from CCC containing suggestions, but also asking for ideas to resolve the issue – this would probably mean a ‘No Right Turn’ into Chapel Street from Bude direction and the installation of speed-humps.  It is unlikely there will be a pavement installed at Valley Truckle because the road is so narrow.

¨      Bowithick Tip – this is unlikely to shut but probable changes to opening hours which would include week-end opening although total hours would be reduced.
