About Camelford Association of Residents (C.A.R.)

C.A.R. was formed in the summer of 2005 by concerned residents of Camelford.  It was established in response to issues about democracy raised by our (then) Town Council's refusal to abide by the outcome of a local referendum held over the introduction of ‘Pay & Display' parking fees in the town's (previously free) Churchfield Car Park.

C.A.R. is actively involved in projects in and for our community, such as the Annual Fireworks Display and the Christmas Lights.  We are members of the Town Forum which meets once a month, with most other organisations involved in our area, to discuss projects and/or issues relating to Camelford - if you have ideas then either 'Contact us' (click) or pop in to our regular meetings (click on 'Diary Dates' )!
